Frequently Asked Questions
What are your operating hours?
We are available for bookings and consultations between 9:30am and 11pm, Monday to Sunday.
What areas do you cover?
We are based in Ascot and will cover areas within a radius of approximately 15 miles. Examples of places we have stayed in the past include Sunningdale, Windsor, Bracknell, Wokingham, Maidenhead, and the outskirts of Reading.
Please provide your location (town or beginning of postcode) in your enquiry.
What are your prices?
We can provide a base guide price, however, we cannot guarantee we will offer our services at that price. Our fees will be determined upon meeting your dog(s), depending on their needs and obedience, any extra duties required, any other pets that you may have on your property, etc.
Our overnight dog and house sitting services start from 70£ per day.
Our pop in visits and short stay dog sitting services start from 22£ per hour.
Due to the nature of the services we offer, we have to charge more for overnight house sitting stays with dogs that cannot be left on their own for 2-4 hours, as we may lose out on other bookings as a result.
What is your email or phone number?
When you complete the form in my Contact page, we will receive an email, with the details you entered. We will contact you via telephone or email once we have received your request.
What is your refund policy?
For overnight stays or dog and house sitting, we will ask for a 1 day deposit at the time of booking confirmation, which is refundable should you cancel your booking within 10 days of the booking start date.
For pop in visits and short stay dog sitting, we ask that you confirm the booking (via email or text) and pay upfront the day before the booking. There is no refund policy for visits and short stay dog sitting.
Do you charge for an initial consultation?
No, there is no fee for our first consultation or meet and greet.
This is because the meet and greet is an essential part of our onbaording process and how we determine our exact fees. It is also an opportunity for you to decide if we am a good fit for your needs, and an opportunity for your dog to meet the person that might be living with them for a few days.
What qualifications do you have?
I am trained in Pet First Aid and am commited to the safety and well-being of your pets. I am also nutritionally trained and can offer dietary advice.
Whilst I am not a dog trainer or behaviourist, I have come accross a range of dogs, breeds, sizes, personalities, behavioural issues and more. I have also completed and am enrolled in a variety of canine behaviour modification courses to enrich my knowledge and provide the best possible care for your furry friends.
Do you offer pet visits and sitting for animals other than dogs?
Yes and no... My expertise lies primarily with canine care and that is my main focus. I am able to provide care for any additonal animals on the property (cat, ducks, rats, corn snake, shetland pony, to name a few I have had in the past).
As I am dedicated to ensuring all pets are well taken care of, I am happy to offer house visits to feed your cat or other small animal. However, it is unlikely that I will accept an overnight house sit booking for households without dogs. Please reach out through my Contact form if you have any special requests.
How do you ensure my dog's safety?
I am trained in Pet First Aid and am always equipped with safety gear and a First Aid kit to ensure your dog's wellbeing during my stays at your house. I have also completed a number of canine behaviour and body language courses.
I also require all new customers to fill out a form with information pertaining to your dog(s) health and safety, vet information, health and behavioural issues and more, in an effort to minimise any unforseen circumstances.
